1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account (name, email, company) and when you upload mechanical drawings to our platform. We also collect usage data such as processing logs, session information and in-app usage events (for example sign-ups, uploads, reviews and exports), stored by DuctIQ itself, to operate and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your drawings are used to generate takeoff outputs for you and to operate and support the service. We do not use your drawings to train AI models and we do not sell your data. We share information only with the service providers described in section 4, or as required by law.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your account, uploaded drawings and generated outputs are stored on servers located in Canada, and all data is encrypted in transit (TLS). We keep drawings and takeoff outputs in your account until you delete them. When you close your account in Settings, access stops immediately and your account, drawings and takeoff outputs are permanently deleted within 90 days. Billing records required for tax purposes, and the records of your acceptance of these terms and of takeoff reviews, are kept as legal records.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. To run the service we use service providers for cloud hosting, payment processing, email and text-message delivery, web analytics (only with your consent) and AI processing. Some of these providers process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries. They are contractually bound to use the data only to provide their services to DuctIQ. We will disclose information if required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights (PIPEDA / CPPA)

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can download a copy of your account data at any time from Settings. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@ductiq.ca.

6. Cookies

We use these cookies:

• Session (essential): keeps you logged in.
• Device id (essential, first party, 2 years): a random identifier used to enforce one free trial per person and to prevent abuse.
• First visit (first party, 90 days): the first page you visited on our site and how you arrived (the referring site or campaign tags in the link). If you create an account, we store it with your account so we know which pages bring customers. It is never shared with third parties.
• Web analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner): measures how the site is used, through a third-party analytics service provider.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email if the changes are material.
